Refund policy

Last updated 11 October 2026. This policy forms part of our terms. It has two parts: your legal rights, which we cannot change, and a voluntary promise we make on top of them.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Our software comes with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If a guarantee is not met, you may be entitled to a remedy such as a repair, a replacement, a refund or compensation, depending on the problem; the ACCC explains how these remedies work at accc.gov.au. This is a pointer, not a complete statement of your rights. Nothing below limits those rights.

Our voluntary 14-day "doesn't work on your site" refund

On top of your legal rights: if Pro does not work on your WooCommerce site and we cannot get it working, we refund the full price. To use this:

  1. Email support@ratehaul.com.au (planned mailbox; not yet verified) within 14 days of purchase with your order number and a description of the problem.
  2. Give us a reasonable chance to fix it. Usually that means answering a couple of questions and trying a fix or two. We aim to resolve or refund within a few business days.
  3. If we cannot make it work on your site, we refund you to the original payment method through Payhip. Allow 5 to 10 business days for the money to appear.

Change of mind

We do not refund for change of mind on a digital download, for example if you bought Pro and then decided Lite was enough, or you chose a different plugin. Please read the feature table and the docs before buying, and try Lite first if you are unsure. If you bought the wrong tier (single-site when you needed 5-site, or the reverse) email us and we will sort out the difference.

After a refund

Your licence key is disabled in Payhip. Pro's extra features switch off at the site's next licence check (the plugin checks about once a day while Pro is in use) and the plugin behaves like Lite, and updates and support for Pro end. You can keep using Lite.

Lite

Lite is free, so there is nothing to refund. Its consumer guarantees still apply to the extent the law provides for free software.
